The use of fenugreek dates back as far as six thousand years ago and was considered to be a medicinal drug and used by the ancient Egyptians for this purpose. It is known to improve digestive problems such as upset stomach, constipation and inflammation of the stomach. Fenugreek also seems to benefit those with heart conditions, such as hardening of the arteries and high blood levels of certain fats, including cholesterol and triglycerides. It also shows potential for helping those who are diabetic amongst other health issues.
